On the Queen's Moon, we take charge of a situation. It's a day for leadership. If leadership isn't your thing, do something nice for a woman who is in a position of leadership and power in the outside world and whom you respect. - Moon Phase Astrology by Raven Kaldera.
After scouring the Interwebs, I could nothing on any festivals, rituals, or a birthday for my Goddess Seshat. Well, there was one that a Kemetic Recon group came up with on World Architecture Day in October. I'm not an architect so this day doesn't resonate with me. Seshat is the Queen of Libraries, Astronomy/Astrology, Math, Accounting, and in her modern aspect Information Technology, Internet, and Computers.
Here are some possible days to honor Seshat based her areas of rulership:
National Library Week 4/14 - 4/20
Library Card Month - September
Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) Day - 4/12
Banned Books Week - last week in September
Tax Day (US) - 4/15
Astronomy Week - Spring (April/May) and Fall (September/October)
Birthday of World Wide Web - August 6
I couldn't find a definitive day for Accountants or Computer Technicians.

Waxing Gibbous in sidereal Gemini On the Mercenary's Moon we learn to edit our communication. While this may reek of censorship to some, anyone who has ever had to polish the rough draft of a paper knows how useful it is. - Moon Phase Astrology by Raven Kaldera.
This is struggle for me as I write my blog. I mean, it's my blog, right? But no, I don't type everything that pops in my head. Sometimes a rewrite is necessary.
Do you write what's on your mind or do you hold back?
Length: 29 days (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
Symbol: A pair of fish
Rulers (Dignities): Neptune (day) & Jupiter (night)
Detriments: Mercury (day) & Lilith (night)
Tropical or solar zodiac is basically the same every year and is aligned to the seasons. Sidereal zodiac shifts and is how the stars appear in the sky at a given moment. Your true sign is the sidereal one and may or may not match the tropical zodiac.
*sigh* First off, I can't believe this is a real news piece. I was thinking it's more like SNL or something. They are so disrespectful and ignorant. I typed out my thoughts as the video played.
-The exact numbers of Wiccans / Pagans is unknown because many of us keep our beliefs to ourselves. I'm no expert or journalist but I'd bet there are at least the same amount of Pagans as followers of Zoroastrianism. Note that Wicca is a type of Pagan religion just like Catholic is a type of Christian religion.
-U of Missouri was doing a GOOD thing by including Pagan holidays on their already existing interfaith calendar. Did Fox News do a piece when this calendar first came out?
-"The bad thing about Wiccanism is that it's obviously full of witchcraft." Ok, there's no such thing as Wiccanism and not all Wiccans practice witchcraft. Most importantly, it's the journalist's opinion that witchcraft is bad.
-"you get a ton of holidays". I believe there were only 8 holidays for Wicca/Pagan in the calendar. I will try to confirm this for myself. However, not all Pagans / Wiccans even celebrate everything. For example Kemetics and Astaru follow completely different calendars than Wiccans.
-From Tammy Bruce - She's thinks Pagans are being used. What??? We are thanking the University for including us in the calendar.
-"If you're gonna pick one [a specific religion, I guess], pick one with the most holidays." I don't know about you, but I didn't just pick to be Pagan. I grew up Christian and after doing my own research, I came home. Many Pagans who converted will tell you the same thing, that they finally found a path that they are happy with.
-"Any religion whose most sacred day is Halloween, I just can't take seriously..Call me a bigot." Well you don't have to. But the Constitution protects our religion just like it protects yours. And for your education, Halloween is the bastardization of Samhaim, a holiday for paying respects to our ancestors. Speaking for myself, Samhain is not the most sacred day in my path. My birthday is.
-"How many Wiccans can name every Wiccan holiday?" Can all Catholics name all the Catholic holidays? Can all Jews name all the Jewish holidays? Can all Muslims name all the Muslim holidays?
-"I don't know a single Wiccan." You probably do, and just don't know it.
-'Every Wiccan I've ever known plays D&D or is middle-age woman who is a midwife..'You don't get around much, eh? And then you are going to bash on midwivery?
I can't help feeling that this piece was done to incite a riot, as it were. This can't be journalism.

On the Mermaid Moon, we explore our internal fantasies. Could you dedicate a whole day to daydreaming? If not, perhaps dedicating it to reading fantasy novels would be a better thing. Escapist movies will work too. Ask yourself though: ...What pulls you back to the mundane world; what are your anchors there? Remember to eat and take care of physical needs. - Moon Phase Astrology by Raven Kaldera.

How I wish I could daydream all day! I'll probably read a book. I'm in the middle of several. Two of them are The Lost World and The Shining. I'm still trying to find The Mayan Codex as my library only has the 1st in the AntiChrist Trilogy.
Do you like the fantasy genre? What are your favorite movies or novels?
On the Forgotten Moon we remember our early experiences of being left out and the feelings and fantasies that we used to tide us over during that painful time. We look at the ambitions that may have been stunted or set aside because of early trauma and we reexamine them...We also confront our feeling about the unfairness of the Universe. - Moon Phase Astrology by Raven Kaldera.
When I was a kid in school, I was always left out of birthday parties and holiday celebrations. While the other kids would participate in the costume parade, I and other Jehovah's Witness children would be stuck in the library. It was never a lot of us; some parents had the decency to just keep their kids home. Since I was poor, I only got new clothes the beginning of the year. Nothing new for Christmas. So my fantasy was that my family didn't have to wait until birthdays or Christmas to buy presents; we got presents all year round. Yeah right.
I was really smart too. I was offered a position on the student government. But noooo, since JWs don't participate in government, I had to decline that. I wonder how different my life would have been if I had been allowed to participate in activities that other kids got to do - sports, band, dance team, prom.
And to top it off, I'm the fat sister. Yeah, I used to blame the Universe. Why did I have to be the fat one? I'm clearly not my mother's favorite either. I feel like I'm truly forgotten. My mother hasn't called or visited me in forever (but she calls my son).
BUT had I not gone through all these things, I would not be the me that I am now. I wonder if I would have ever found my true spiritual path?
Mom got me a sibling. She's a funny looking dog that hisses. I think I like her but I don't know if she likes me yet. Mom said that I need someone to play with when I'm left alone sometimes. I don't think my new furry sister wants to play yet though. Mom got her from the same shelter I came from. She doesn't have a name yet. What do you think?
On the Judge's Moon, we consider what we really think about people and all the way we judge them. We also think about what we believe to be fair and how much of that is influenced by our feelings. The point is not to deny the latter but to be aware of them; Moon work is all about being calmly aware of your emotions before you, well, judge them to be in need of changing or locking up. - Moon Phase Astrology by Raven Kaldera.
Better known as Groundhog Day, Imbolc (Celtic) or as I like to call it Risshun or Hara Matsuri (Japanese) is the 1st day of spring. The sun is at 315 deg on the ecliptic which is 15 deg tropical Aquarius. Days are definitely getting longer. Time to say goodbye to my SAD.
In Eastern paths, chakras are the centers of life force. When chakras are blocked, a host of physical and emotional issues occur. There are 7 chakras and each is associated with a color. The following are brief descriptions of each.
Crown - top of head Associated with Higher Self, spirituality, meditation and the nervous system
Brow - center of forehead Psychic abilities, imagination
The 8th chakra is not really a chakra at all. It's the aura and is colorless. We all radiate energy but most of us don't call it our aura, we say "personal bubble". It is important to heal the aura when doing chakra work else all the energy will flow away.
